These Tree Swallows were such brave little birds who were so willing to pose beautifully for me. I took these photos up in the Okanogan. To see more of our worlds birds please go here.
Beautiful, Amanda. I love the poses. I was fortunate enough to get one a few years back that was the start of my bird collection series which is still a work in progress. Great work!
Your pictures are spectacular! Even with rain on a dirty lens...some people just can't take a bad photo.:D You, are one of those! :D Keep them coming...I will definitely be back to see more of your photos! Sunshiny Daze, Christine
Awesome captures of the Tree Swallows Amanda! I love it when they stick their heads out of the birdhouse entrance. Did you get close enough to get dive bombed?
I think the fourth shot of the male from side, standing on the wood, showing his glistening blue back contrasting the bright white chin, is my favorite of the series.

About Me
Amanda Barber
Central Washington, United States
I am the second of 4 children raised in a small town in Louisiana. I now live in Central Washington State after spending several years in Montana. I describe myself as a sentient being who is part cowgirl, part hippie chick (left behind the day I became a mother but still have the memories), part tree-hugger, and I have an interest in fashion and girlie things. My concerns are over-population, cruelty to animals of all kinds, the destruction of wildlife habitat, and the destruction of our beautiful planet. I am married to my best friend Ron who is a native Montanan and have a 20 year old son named Cody, 3 dogs, a golden retriever named Joanie an ancient Pekenese named Cyndy Lou, and a young pekenese named Sophia. I also have a beautiful Missouri Foxtrotter named Red-neck Annie and a 6 year old Peruvian Paso named Poncho. I enjoy riding them down the trails. I also enjoy fishing and driving the golf cart for my dear hubby and of course I take my camera where ever I go.

Great photos. The sheen on the feathers is beautiful.
I dom't know what hex you use to make them pose for you. Birds have a way of seldom doing so for me.
Wonderful captures of such a pretty little bird.
What a darling little fellow! And your photographs rock.
Beautiful, Amanda. I love the poses. I was fortunate enough to get one a few years back that was the start of my bird collection series which is still a work in progress.

Very nice photos of the Tree Swallows.
I love Tree Swallows, probably because they are pretty easy to find around here and oh so cute. Your photos are beautiful, thanks for sharing them. :)
Beautiful photos of beautiful birds. I've never had one sit so still for me - you must be a bird whisperer!

I could watch their aerial acrobatics for hours.
